Role Overview
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the successful financial management of construction and development projects. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents across a range of projects.
  • Monitor and control project costs, identifying risks and opportunities to keep budgets on track.
  • Conduct regular cost reporting and forecasting, providing clear insights to project stakeholders.
  • Evaluate contractor valuations and negotiate terms to achieve optimal value for clients.
  • Support contract administration, including reviewing agreements and managing variations.
  • Collaborate with design and construction teams to understand specifications and advise on cost implications.
  • Assist in procurement processes by analysing bids and selecting suppliers that meet project requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies throughout project financial management.

Required Qualifications
Must-haves:

  • Relevant professional qualification or certification in quantity surveying, construction economics, or a related discipline.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Proficiency in cost management software and standard office applications.
  • Clear communication and negotiation skills to liaise effectively with all project participants.
  • Knowledge of construction contracts, pricing methods, and cost control techniques.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience with sustainable or green building practices affecting cost management.
